Are you wondering how to permanently delete Instagram account? This option or feature I believe is hidden. When I logged into my Instagram account on the left hand side, you will see an options menu.
I then tried to access each option from the left hand menu. I never did find permanently delete Instagram account button or link. I ended up performing a quick Internet search and found a Facebook support article describing how to permanently delete Instagram account with a link to the exact page where you can finally rid yourself of this albatross. Are you not tired of all these social engineering, er I mean social networking websites.
The only similar option available was to "Temporarily disable my account". This is not sufficient as I want to permanently delete Instagram account instead. You will want to click on the link I gave you previously.
You will need to have been logged into your Instagram account or will need to provide your Instagram account credentials in order to access the permanently delete Instagram account page. You will see a delete your account title. Then you will want to choose a reason for your permanently delete Instagram account from a drop down list.
Why do you want to delete "username" is exactly the question you will have to answer. I guess at least you have multiple choices. Once you choose a reason why you want to permanently delete Instagram account, then you will see more information including a "Delete username" button.
Also, you will have to enter in your Instagram account password, in order to finally click on the delete button. Once you click on the delete button, you will forwarded to a final page. You will see a message notifyng you of the date that your Instagram account will become deleted.
Also, you will be reminded of your 30 day grace period. You have 30 days to log back into your Instagram account, to choose to keep your Instagram account.
That is all you need to perform in order to permanently delete Instagram account. Are you not estatic that you have finally rid yourself of another world order albatross? I sure was when I finally deleted my Instagram account.
Before you run now, you may want to read Facebook's Instagram data policy, as they admit that they may keep some of your data, even after your account is "permanently" deleted. Also, Facebook admits that it may actually take up to 90 days for them to delete your Instagram account. If you want to cut to the chase and access Facebook Instagram permanently delete Instagram account deletion page.
You will need to either already be logged into your Facebook Instagram account or will need to provide username and password credentials for your Facebook Instagram account. You can always log back into your Facebook Instagram account if you choose your mind. Also, you can temporarily disable your Facebook Instagram account instead.
Permanently Delete Instagram Account - Instructions Video Transcript
00:05
another video for you today and another
00:08
albatross to
00:11
rid of you know i'm saying
00:14
how to delete your instagram account now
00:18
because of sensitivity i'm not going to
00:20
screen capture
00:21
everything in my account because
00:26
why when you go to instagram
00:29
and you go to your account and then you
00:32
go to edit
00:33
your account from the left hand side it
00:35
may change in the future but for now
00:37
it's on the left hand side you have
00:39
these different options here
00:42
and let me see if i can scroll
00:45
oh my bad i wasn't showing you oh that's
00:47
good
00:48
so let me go back you're going to see a
00:50
blank screen
00:52
and yeah i don't necessarily want you to
00:55
see
00:57
certain yeah probably not i don't want
00:59
you to see
01:00
on the left hand side there is edit
01:02
profile change password apps and
01:04
websites email and sms
01:05
push notifications manage contacts
01:07
privacy and security login activity
01:09
emails from instagram switch your
01:11
professional account you would click on
01:13
edit profile
01:14
then you scroll down and then you see
01:16
this however
01:17
you're not able to delete your account
01:19
it just says temporarily disable my
01:20
account well i want to delete it forever
01:23
so i performed some internet searches
01:25
and i found this
01:27
uniform resource locator directly from
01:29
the horse's mouth otherwise known as
01:31
01:32
and it tells you how to permanently
01:34
delete your account
01:36
and there's a link right here now why
01:40
now i went through all of those
01:41
aforementioned
01:43
options in my account unless it's hidden
01:46
under some
01:47
other menu or some other option you
01:48
click on option and then it's hidden
01:50
i couldn't find it now why the
01:52
does facebook
01:53
perpetrate that that is because they
01:55
don't want you to delete your instagram
01:57
account
01:58
and get rid of that ugly halitosis
02:02
albatross you know what i'm saying
02:06
it's linked right here and i will
02:09
include a link to the delete your
02:11
account
02:12
instagram uniform resource locator in
02:15
the blog post
02:17
linked to in the description box below
02:19
as soon as i write it
02:21
all right so now then it takes you to
02:24
this uniform resource locator
02:26
slash account slash remove slash request
02:28
slash permanent
02:30
it has my name i'm not a fan of that
02:33
however most of you clowns probably well
02:37
could figure out my real name because
02:39
it's actually on my website
02:41
anacopiers.com
02:43
and some of you may already know it
02:48
so i already knew that if if i did not
02:51
want you to know my full name
02:53
even my middle initial even my last name
02:56
i would not
02:56
be screen capturing this right here but
02:59
i already know
03:00
it's on my website so you know why why
03:03
you know why be worried about it now i
03:05
would prefer that i
03:06
never ever disseminated my real
03:10
name on the well maybe my first name but
03:12
not nothing
03:13
besides that it's about computer
03:15
security
03:17
why do you want to delete aaron j berg
03:18
well because he's a bastard
03:21
and a liar and the worst information
03:24
technology professional
03:26
to ever record videos on youtube even
03:28
though i received over four
03:30
and a half million views okay so let me
03:33
because
03:33
of security
03:36
concerns i'm going to click on this drop
03:38
down list
03:40
trouble getting started okay all it
03:42
gives is is choices just
03:43
you just i'm i'm being
03:47
honest with you as a real world computer
03:49
technician
03:51
that still helps individuals with their
03:54
computer problems
03:56
to this day even like earlier i worked
04:03
it's a free-for-all on the internet i
04:04
mean people are getting the h word
04:07
people are getting their facebook
04:10
their instagram their google their
04:12
hotmail their gmail
04:14
you name it they're getting their
04:15
accounts recommended just every
04:17
every day i would i run across at least
04:20
one or two
04:21
just myself issues where people
04:24
are getting their account circumvented
04:26
and i'm only one technician on a very
04:28
busy website
04:29
so who knows what the numbers are and
04:32
then
04:33
just click on the drop down i think my
04:35
encoder will
04:36
screen capture this will capture this
04:38
drop down list
04:39
trouble getting started want to remove
04:41
something created a second account
04:43
can't find people to follow privacy oh
04:47
the irony facebook
04:50
they hate privacy privacy concerns
04:52
that's very interesting that's
04:54
that's one of the options or one of the
04:56
selections
04:57
concerned about my data well that too
04:59
wow facebook has never been
05:02
remember what was that cambridge
05:04
analytica
05:05
study cambridge analytica facebook
05:09
knew that what was it millions of people
05:12
had their
05:12
had private their data circumvented
05:16
remember all that remember cambridge
05:17
analytica
05:18
yeah they knew and they didn't tell
05:20
anybody for like months or years or
05:21
whatever it was
05:23
you know what i'm saying too busy too
05:25
distracting too many ads something else
05:27
well i'm gonna close it because of
05:29
multiple ones
05:30
privacy concerns and then also concern
05:33
about my data
05:35
and i am sick and tired of the social
05:38
net engineering i mean
05:40
the social networking garbage so i've
05:42
been going and closing
05:43
as many accounts as as possible if you
05:47
notice
05:48
the only about the only videos that i've
05:50
recorded in the last few months is most
05:52
of them not all of them at a high
05:53
percentage deal with me
05:56
showing you how to close accounts so i'm
05:58
going to choose
06:02
it doesn't matter they're both this is
06:03
50 50. i'm just going to choose the
06:05
first one
06:06
now wow please consider the following
06:09
article
06:10
so see now they're going to try to
06:13
persuade you into keeping your account
06:15
now you have to re-enter your password
06:18
so i'm going to and then
06:19
is there anything else let me let me
06:22
transition
06:23
because security is of the most
06:25
important now with the internet it's
06:26
just
06:27
it's so out of control and all these
06:29
websites that are paranoid
06:31
i mean it's just you can't even log in
06:34
to if you're similar to me where you
06:38
work remotely and you're i'm
06:40
self-employed i don't
06:41
have a boss i don't have a supervisor
06:45
i don't want to get into the details
06:47
technically there are some knuckleheads
06:48
at this
06:50
third-party website whereby i earn
06:51
supplemental income answering
06:53
computer and technology-related
06:55
questions
06:56
there may be some but then they i
06:59
blocked them all
07:02
i never i mean i just anyways
07:05
my point is is that i'm mobile i can
07:07
work anywhere as long as i have a decent
07:09
internet connection and
07:10
i can log into this specific website you
07:13
know i'm saying i'm good to go
07:15
but but you got capital one you got
07:19
facebook you got what else is just
07:21
paranoid paranoia
07:23
oh google is paranoid oh even my youtube
07:27
channel i had a i had to
07:31
authenticate and they want you to use
07:33
two-factor
07:34
authentication and i refuse to use
07:36
two-factor authentication anyways
07:38
i digress let's move on so i'm looking
07:40
to see make sure there's nothing
07:42
about myself that i don't want you to
07:47
view
07:47
because that is extremely important it's
07:50
basically
07:51
a epidemic really
07:55
okay now this is very important and you
07:57
want might want to pay attention
07:59
right now right now
08:04
if you continue your profile and account
08:07
details will be
08:08
deleted on august 21st you won't be
08:11
visible on instagram between now and
08:13
then
08:14
if you change your mind you can log back
08:15
in before the deletion date
08:17
and choose to keep your account you can
08:19
change your mind
08:20
and you can log back in before the
08:22
deletion date which is exactly 30 days
08:25
i think this is similar to like
08:26
microsoft
08:28
and and scruggle i mean google delete
08:31
aaron j
08:32
berg i would i know you and
08:35
on the internet
08:37
and i know a lot of you
08:38
hate my guts oh
08:40
that's right one of my own subscribers
08:43
on my internet computer's youtube
08:44
channel
08:45
trolled me
08:48
and i haven't talked about that in a
08:50
while i had a i had a subscriber that
08:52
trolled me and then started harassing me
08:55
and i
08:56
you can't make that up you know
08:58
what i'm saying
08:59
anyways you would love it if i quit
09:03
making youtube videos i know you would
09:05
you would love it if i just deleted my
09:06
youtube
09:07
channel you know you repugnant americans
09:11
i mean
09:12
some of you most of you 98 what or what
09:14
not
09:15
your profile and account details will be
09:18
hidden until august 21st okay
09:20
so i'm going to click click on delete
09:22
aaron j berg
09:24
and i know you i forgot i should have
09:27
some noises i should have had some like
09:29
applause you know oh
09:32
i'll get a standing ovation you know get
09:35
it
09:36
anyways all right so i'm going to click
09:40
on delete aaron j berg which i'm doing
09:41
right now
09:42
and i got this warning i think i can
09:44
show it to you i think my encoder will
09:47
will capture it are you want
09:50
are you sure you want to delete your
09:51
account well yes well well
09:54
this is just like the other websites
09:56
they have
09:57
all these steps that you have to go
09:59
through and they always try to talk you
10:00
out of it it's like
10:02
you're on the ledge and no i shouldn't
10:04
even yeah i shouldn't even joke about
10:06
that really because
10:07
youtube they're communist socialists
10:10
censoring cockroaches and if i say
10:13
anything offensive
10:14
my youtube channel might get you know
10:16
deleted tonight at midnight
10:18
anyways so i'm going to click ok and
10:22
[Music]
10:23
let's see what happens oh okay i think i
10:25
can show you
10:26
this page yeah i think i'll yeah okay
10:31
there i delete and now you have to trust
10:34
me i clicked on ok
10:36
it had cancel and it had okay your
10:38
account will be deleted on august 21st
10:41
of this year if you change your mind log
10:44
back in before then and choose to keep
10:46
your account
10:47
so that is exactly 30 days now
10:50
i'm assuming that well i just don't know
10:52
if there's an exact i'm assuming that
10:54
it's automated
10:55
and there's a countdown timer and i have
10:57
until
10:58
and i'm not going to tell you what time
10:59
it is right now
11:01
i have exactly you know 30 days from
11:04
this hour minute and second but i could
11:07
be wrong
11:07
but you know 30 days that i mean that's
11:10
acceptable to me
11:11
and i think further i try to keep my
11:14
videos down to
11:15
15 minutes or less i have about four
11:17
minutes of overtime
11:18
so what i can do is i can go over the
11:20
official facebook page
11:21
and i can just kind of number one i can
11:24
show you that the page exists
11:25
that's how i roll i always go directly
11:28
to the source
11:29
for years and years and years as a real
11:31
world here's a gold tip
11:34
as a computer technician or if you're a
11:37
standard
11:38
american with very terrible
11:42
information technology skills and you
11:44
can barely use a computer and you can
11:45
barely
11:45
use a search engine here's a gold tip
11:49
when it comes to trying to fix your
11:50
computer problems your most common
11:52
computer problems whatever they are
11:54
viruses
11:55
whatever or you just you don't know how
11:57
to delete your instagram account like i
11:59
didn't
12:02
ignorance is bliss until you succumb and
12:05
meet your demise from a government
12:06
military vaccination i mean oops
12:08
that's the wrong topic and oops that's
12:11
the wrong
12:12
youtube channel oh that's right once
12:14
upon a time i was a real
12:16
i still am a real anarchist but once
12:18
upon a time i was a real anarchist
12:24
activist on the on youtube and youtube
12:27
censored and
12:28
completely terminated that account
12:30
because i was just too
12:32
controversial for their
12:33
censoring asses all right delete your
12:37
account no but that's a gold tip
12:38
always try to go directly to the source
12:41
even if you have to use bing
12:42
or duckduckgo or start page or google
12:46
however however you find your
12:48
information
12:49
go directly to the source you may have
12:51
to use a search engine
12:53
and then try to find details like an
12:56
article or
12:57
support or even forums a lot even
13:00
microsoft and google
13:02
and even facebook they have their own
13:05
official support forms and
13:08
you'd be surprised what's archived out
13:09
there and and you can fix issues that
13:11
way
13:12
my point is that try to go directly to
13:14
the source instead of
13:15
you know relying on a schmuck like me
13:18
there
13:21
get it the irony and the all right all
13:23
right i digress
13:24
[Laughter]
13:26
that that's funny i've made i don't want
13:29
to brag but i've made thousands of
13:31
dollars
13:32
actually doing what i just told you not
13:34
to do
13:35
you know you know i'm saying oh the
13:38
irony that's hysterical
13:40
all right delete your account how do i
13:43
temporarily i don't care about that how
13:44
do i delete my instagram
13:45
account that's how easy it was i just
13:47
did i performed the keyword search and i
13:49
found facebook's
13:50
page because that's how i wrote that's
13:52
what i prefer
13:54
and then it just it tells you it says
13:56
when you delete your account your
13:57
profile photos videos comments likes and
14:00
followers will be permanently removed
14:02
if you'd just like to take a break you
14:03
can temporarily disable your account
14:05
instead i don't know why the you
14:07
would do yeah i guess i don't know
14:09
you broke your leg and i don't know
14:12
i don't know man oh and i'm not telling
14:14
you to break a leg but you know
14:16
if you did break a leg would i cry i
14:18
don't know i may i may not
14:20
lose sleep at night if you broke your
14:21
leg it depends on i'm not that cold and
14:23
callous it just really depends on
14:26
after your account is deleted you can
14:27
sign up again with the same username or
14:29
add
14:30
that username to another account as long
14:32
as it hasn't been taken by a new person
14:34
on
14:35
oh okay so we i just learned something
14:37
and so did you
14:39
they recycle usernames
14:43
so don't think that
14:46
in the future even if you
14:49
do not re log in again into your
14:52
instagram account before the 30-day
14:54
grace period
14:55
do not assume that your
14:59
instagram username will be available in
15:01
you know
15:03
five days two weeks
15:06
ten years after the grace period and
15:09
here's another gold tip
15:10
when it comes to information technology
15:14
don't assume anything really you know
15:16
what i'm saying i mean that's
15:18
i'm sorry but that's uh why why am i
15:19
apologizing that's how cynical i am and
15:21
i've always been that way
15:23
but especially once i i don't know why i
15:26
chose to help people with technology i
15:28
don't know why i ever
15:29
joined the information technology sector
15:30
i just i have no id i think i was
15:32
literally like
15:33
mentally ill back then and now i'm just
15:35
worse
15:37
that's another goal tip don't ever take
15:39
advice from a mentally ill
15:41
you know cynical computer technician
15:44
that all day every day helps people fix
15:46
their computer and technology related
15:48
problems and go you know mentally ill
15:50
anyways no i really joke when i say when
15:52
i talk about mental illness i'm just
15:54
really joking but whatever
15:56
keep in mind that well i don't know i
15:58
could be mentally ill i just don't know
15:59
it
15:59
i just it's kind of like being
16:02
brainwashed by the government
16:04
you know how would you know if you're
16:05
brainwashed get it
16:08
if you're brainwashed you you're
16:10
brainwashed how would you know if you're
16:11
brainwashed
16:13
now i guess you can get your account
16:15
removed by violating community
16:17
guidelines
16:18
oh now check this i didn't know this
16:19
either if your account is removed
16:21
because you
16:22
violated their stupid communist
16:24
socialist you know censoring i mean
16:26
facebook's integra instagrams guidelines
16:29
and
16:30
you will not you may not be able to sign
16:32
up again with the same
16:33
wow user talk about communist and
16:35
fascists
16:36
now it doesn't say you will not be able
16:38
to it says you may not
16:40
but i would not again i just gave you a
16:42
tip about
16:44
never taking anything for you know
16:47
just whatever don't assume anything
16:49
don't ever assume
16:50
that's that's how i roll okay for
16:54
security reasons
16:55
we can't delete an account for you okay
16:57
so
16:58
well they can't help you that what do
17:00
you mean security since when
17:02
come on since when has shillberg
17:06
since when has zuckerberg that crook
17:10
ever cared about security all you have
17:12
to do is study the
17:14
the what i just spoke about earlier
17:18
cambridge analytica cambridge analytica
17:21
i dare you to look into that if you if
17:23
you're not
17:23
aware of it we can't delete an account
17:26
for you i think i did record a video
17:28
about it
17:29
on youtube but i think it got censored
17:31
or i didn't even attempt it because i
17:32
figured
17:33
it would get censored because i dared
17:35
criticize
17:36
a you know billion dollar trillion
17:38
dollar you know facebook
17:40
but whatever we can't delete an account
17:42
for you'll need to be able to log into
17:44
your account okay
17:45
we we just did that and i demonstrated
17:47
it for you
17:49
if you can't remember your password or
17:51
user oh
17:52
here's another tip
17:55
if you value your facebook account i
17:57
don't know why you would but if you do
17:59
oh here's an
18:00
additional tip i don't ever give out
18:03
advice however here's a tip
18:05
you may want to seriously reconsider
18:08
using facebook for business
18:10
if you i'm not telling you not to do it
18:12
or to do it
18:14
but once you get your facebook account
18:17
because remember i'm a real world
18:18
technician this is what i deal with all
18:20
day every day
18:22
every day i i probably answer at least
18:25
one facebook account
18:28
problem every day somebody either
18:31
had their account disabled somebody
18:34
circumvented their security and locked
18:35
them out or they
18:36
forgot their password or they forgot
18:38
their recovery email
18:40
address or they can't access that
18:41
recovery email account
18:43
or they forgot their tel their mobile
18:46
number for
18:46
recovery or to log in you do know that
18:49
you can use a mobile telephone number to
18:51
log into facebook
18:52
or they forgot oh here's another big
18:55
mistake
18:56
is that people will lose their dumb
18:59
device i mean their smartphone
19:01
or they'll buy a new one and then
19:03
they'll forget
19:04
and then they'll throw their old
19:06
smartphone away or they'll give it away
19:08
they'll sell it or whatever or they'll
19:10
you know factor reset it and guess what
19:13
that
19:14
smartphone was what they used for to
19:16
either two-factor authentication
19:18
or the the mobile number
19:21
to receive a text to in case they can't
19:25
log into their facebook
19:27
so my point is that when it comes to
19:28
especially and this is going to get
19:30
worse
19:31
the paranoia on the internet is just
19:33
something else
19:34
is that when it comes to you you know
19:37
relying on websites and relying on
19:40
instagram and relying
19:41
on facebook for your business or
19:43
whatever
19:44
when it comes to account security you
19:47
always have to be
19:48
thinking and you always and you can't
19:50
assume
19:51
you can't you know what i'm saying okay
19:54
so i just gave you a warning about
19:56
facebook because i deal with facebook
19:58
every day and it gets ugly i get oh i
20:01
get yelled at i get cussed at
20:03
i've been threatened not with my life
20:05
but i have been threatened
20:06
have i been threatened legally well i
20:08
have but
20:09
i don't know if i've been threatened
20:11
legally with with facebook
20:13
not being able to help somebody log into
20:14
their facebook and here's another
20:17
tip when it comes to facebook they don't
20:20
have a telephone number that i'm aware
20:21
of
20:22
you can't call them and they don't
20:24
they're very difficult
20:25
to contact they're
20:28
i haven't made that video yet but i
20:30
should that it's too late
20:31
well i don't know i might be able to
20:33
make a lot of money off that one
20:35
potentially
20:37
i know of every single way that you can
20:41
possibly contact facebook
20:44
and i know of i have exact instructions
20:48
that i give my end users on how to
20:51
possibly
20:53
recover their facebook account and i
20:55
even know of
20:56
a form that they can fill out and so
21:00
you know what i'm saying that that is
21:01
gold information that i am not i'm not
21:03
going to tell you
21:04
right now because i'm already well over
21:06
over time
21:08
i need to i don't i don't think i ever
21:09
made it i need to record that video that
21:11
would be a classic
21:14
okay okay we already
21:18
went over and i already demonstrated on
21:21
you have to pick a choice an option i
21:23
don't know why that is and then again
21:24
you have to
21:26
click on delete
21:30
and then
21:34
okay if you'd like to delete a different
21:37
account click on
21:38
or tap the username the right top right
21:41
of delete your account page i was never
21:43
given that option
21:44
click or tap the circle
21:48
or the whatever the this widget is
21:51
or whatever
21:52
[Laughter]
21:54
next to the edit profile and select log
21:56
oh the gear i think that's a gear
21:58
oh yeah you have to log out then you
22:01
have to log back in
22:02
i don't remember seeing that but
22:04
whatever and then you have remember we
22:06
went over the 30d grace period
22:08
if you're interested click on the link
22:11

22:12

22:14

22:15
blog post on my website in computers.com
22:17
that i have not written but i will i
22:19

22:20

22:22
and write it to write it
22:25
so that you can find these links i will
22:27
have a detailed blog post with full
22:29
instructions on how to
22:30
permanently delete your instagram
22:33
account
22:34
and then you might want to read the
22:35
terms of use and the data policy if
22:42
if you if that's important to you they
22:45
i don't know i don't know for a fact if
22:47
even after you delete your account
22:50
does facebook do that i'm assuming they
22:51
do because they're crooked
22:54
because they're bastards you know what
22:56
i'm saying i don't i don't know that for
22:58
a fact
22:58
they may or may not keep some of your
23:01
data
23:02
that might be important to you it may
23:05
take up to 90 days to complete the
23:06
deletion process after it begins
23:09
copies of your content may remain after
23:11
the 90 days and backup stories that we
23:13
use to recover
23:14
in the event of a disaster software
23:16
error or other data loss event
23:18
we may also keep your information for
23:21
things like legal issues
23:23
terms violations or harm prevention
23:26
efforts
23:28
yeah you may want to read the data
23:30
policy if that's important to you
23:33
wow another albatross
23:38
sent to the rafters or you know
23:41
uh buried i barely instagram i just
23:44
buried that oh that's right i have
23:46
30 days oh that's right according to
23:48
this disclaimer
23:50
some of that data may remain forever
23:52
[Laughter]
23:55
welcome to the world order adios
