In Microsoft Outlook Express email client you are not able to see images in your messages without changing your view that email to on line. You can attempt to delete your temporary internet files. Depending on a version of Internet Explorer web browser you have installed you can follow these tips:
- You will want to close all instances of Microsoft Outlook Express, Windows Mail, Internet Explorer, and Windows Explorer.
- You can browse to Start then Control Panel then go into Internet Options.
- Then select a General tab.
- You will want to click a Delete Files button.
Hopefully, you will be able to see images in Microsoft Outlook Express email client again. If that does not fix your issue you can try completely deleting all temporary internet files and an index.dat file by:
- Logging with an Administrator account and then deleting the desired
folder(s) and then rebooting your computer. - You can also press Ctrl-Alt-Del twice at a Welcome screen in order to log into an Administrator account.
C:Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files
Username is an account or profile that you suspect is corrupt. You will want to remember to delete that folder named Content.IE5 and not just the contents inside that folder. A new Content.IE5 folder and a set of random named sub-folders and index.dat will be created on restart of your computer operating system.
You can not delete these folders from your own account, which is why you need to log in with an administrator account. Hopefully, you will be able to view images successfully now. Another fix is to delete a History folder and index.dat file:
You will want to log on with an Administrator account and delete the desired
C:Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\HISTORY.
