Another computer problem in the world order. This one is a bit different as I had to solve one of my own computer related problems. I recently installed Open Broadcaster Studio software on a Hewlett Packard Pavilion X360 laptop computer.
Also, I am using MX Linux on this laptop computer system. MX Linux is a Debian distribution derivation operating system. I noticed when recording videos, that the colors did not look right.
At first I thought perhaps it was a hardware related video graphics processing unit problem. However, Open Broadcaster Studio was the only application I noticed the color problem. In order to fix this issue you will want to browse into your Sources in Open Broadcaster Studio software.
The source I think that was causing this problem perhaps was the web browser. Also, it could be that that is where you have to make the change that fixes this Open Broadcaster Studio recording color problem. You will want to click on the Properties gear icon on a source.
Under the Crop settings you can look for a check box next to Swap red and blue. You will want to place a check in this box with your mouse and then click on OK in order to save those settings. This immediately fixed this Open Broadcaster Studio recording color problem, as I noticed the colors were fixed in studio mode.
I performed a test video recording and the recording color problem had been fixed. I have used Open Broadcaster Studio software for approximately three to four years now and have never seen this problem crop up, no pun intended, before. Also, I have used two other desktop computers in order to record videos and neither computer had this issue.
I am not sure if it is a problem with the video graphics processor on this laptop computer, a problem with MX Linux operating system, or a problem with Open Broadcaster Studio software. All I know is that I found the solution to one of my own computer problems. This one was kind of an obscure computer problem, but I was much relieved to have fixed this issue.
I can now record videos with this laptop computer pretty much anywhere now. These instructions were written for a Hewlett Packard Pavilion X360 laptop computer with MX Linux version 18.3 operating system installed. Also, the version of Open Broadcaster Studio software was 23.1.0 x64 sixty four bit.
These instructions could certainly be used for possibly other computer operating systems like Microsoft Windows, Apple Macintosh and Linux with this same Open Broadcaster Studio software recording color problem. As long as Open Broadcaster Studio software has a Swap red and blue properties setting you could potentially fix this problem, even on other Linux operating system distributions.
