What do you do now, you ask yourself? You are going to want to let that laptop water damge computer dry for a long time. You will want to remove any major components that you can.
For example computer hard drive, random access memory modules, laptop computer battery, etc. Now you will want that laptop computer, including the components you remove, to air dry for as long as possible. You can check it carefully for corrosion after you have removed any components.
You will want to check the battery terminals, random access memory module contacts, etc. very carefully, as they will be easy places to spot corrosion. After your Dell laptop computer is thoroughly dried out, the laptop may power back on successfully per normal. You can use a towel or cloth to wipe out any remaining moisture from the components you removed and the laptop itself.
If it still no longer powers on successfully, you can attempt to disassemble that laptop computer completely. Also, try to look for anymore existing moisture around the laptop screen, keyboard, and the bottom. You can remove the laptop keyboard and even the screen if necessary.
Your quagmire can depend on how much water was spilled and how much was able to enter into the laptop and perpetrate water damage any components. Your laptop computer must air out completely or else your laptop computer may not function properly. Obviously in physics water and electronic devices do not mix well.
Another tip is to not allow your laptop to sit and dry out without trying to remove as much moisture as well and give some air flow. You want to immediately remove as many components as possible. This is to remove as much water from your laptop computer as possible.
