I successfully answered another question on a third party website, where I earn supplemental income by answering computer and technology-related questions. Here is the customer’s question:
I have a computer with Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium as the operating system. Recently I typed in some forms I downloaded from a website. I saved them, thinking they were going for my documents.
Here they went to PDF. When I tried to reopen them, it said I needed to install Adobe acrobat, which I have tried to do many times without success. The Adobe site offers no help.
How can I download the version of Adobe Acrobat so my PDF files will open? Also, how can I transfer them from PDF to my document folder?
I remotely connected to the customer's computer and fixed their Adobe Acrobat software problem. They had Adobe Acrobat version 8.1.2 partially installed. When you tried to run the Adobe Acrobat reader software program, it prompted the reinstall that failed.
I went into the Microsoft Windows Vista home premium operating system “Control Panel” and then selected “Programs and Features”. I removed the Adobe Acrobat reader software program successfully. Also, I ran both “Cleaner” and “Registry” scans with my preferred computer optimization tool.
As an example, this Microsoft Windows Vista home premium operating system had over five gigabytes of unnecessary files on the computer. Also, over fifteen hundred registry items were cluttering up this computer. I often run a computer optimization program after removing software programs as part of routine system maintenance.
The Microsoft Windows Vista operating system is no longer supported by Adobe. However, I manually downloaded the Microsoft Windows XP service pack three setup from the official Adobe Acrobat Reader download web page. When I visited that page on the customers’ Microsoft Windows Vista home premium operating system, I was given the option to choose what operating system was installed.
Most times, that download page will automatically detect your computer operating system. I included the link above to the “Other Versions” web page link for Adobe Acrobat reader. You must then choose which operating system you are using.
Under “Step 1”, choose which computer operating system from the dropdown list you are presented with. In this case, since Microsoft Windows Vista operating system is not supported, choose “Windows XP SP3”. Under “Step 2”, select your language, for example “English” from a dropdown list.
Finally, under “Step 3”, select the version of Adobe Acrobat Reader you want to install. In this case, I was only given the choice of downloading “Reader 11.0.08 English for Windows”. You can uncheck the “Optional offer”.
Click on the “Download now” button on the right-hand side. This will now prompt you to download Adobe Acrobat reader version 11.0.08 installer to your computer. Double click this executable to begin the software program installation.
This installer still has to download and install the full version of Adobe Acrobat Reader version 11.0.08. I was able to successfully install this software on my customers' computer.
Instead of performing all of the afore mentioned troubleshooting steps, you can try performing a Microsoft Windows Vista system restore. Sometimes Microsoft Windows system restore is not enabled. Thus, you will not have a system restore point.
If you are fortunate enough to have the Microsoft Windows system restore enabled, you should see at least one restore point. I will provide you with exact system restore instructions for Microsoft Windows seven operating system, Microsoft Windows eight operating system, and Microsoft Windows ten operating system. If you are using a different Microsoft Windows operating system, those instructions may be similar.
MICROSOFT WINDOWS 7 SYSTEM RESTORE
You can perform a system restore. Restore your computer back to before you had this problem. You should see at least one restore point as long as the system restore was already enabled.
Click the Windows seven "Start" button. Then select "All Programs". Choose "Accessories".
Select the "System Tools" program group. Click the "System Restore" program icon. Click on "Next".
In the next window you will be able to select your restore point. What you want to choose here is a date and time before you had your current problem. Choose a restore point back to before you had your current computer problem(s).
Now you click “Next”. In order to begin restoring the system, you select “Finish”. Your computer will have to reboot in order to restore it back to the restore point that you picked.
MICROSOFT WINDOWS 8 SYSTEM RESTORE
You will want to swipe on from the right edge of your screen, and then click "Search". Type "Control Panel" in the search box, and then select "Control Panel". Type "Recovery" in the Control Panel search box, and then select "Recovery".
Click on "Open System Restore" and then follow the remaining instructions.
MICROSOFT WINDOWS 10 SYSTEM RESTORE
Click the Windows ten start menu icon in the lower left corner. Select Search and type in System Restore. Click on Create a restore point.
A System properties window will open up. You should be in the System protection tab of that window. Click on System Restore.
Another System Restore window will open up. Click on Next. In the next window you will be able to select your restore point.
Also, you can place a check box in the "Show more restore points" box, if that option is available. What you want to choose here is a date and time before you had your current problem. Choose a restore point back to before you had your current computer problem(s).
Now you click “Next”. In order to begin restoring the system, you select “Finish”. Your computer will have to reboot in order to restore it back to the restore point that you picked.
Hopefully, you are now able to successfully install the Adobe Acrobat reader onto your computer with the help of some of these tips. When in doubt, you can always perform a Microsoft Windows system restore to potentially fix your problem. However, there are times when Microsoft Windows system restore is not enabled or it will not successfully run.

this is Aaron with you today this one

deals with Adobe Acrobat Reader download
0:04
for Microsoft Windows I had a customer
0:07
since I work for a third-party website

where I earn supplemental income

questions this was the client's question
0:20
quoted verbatim on screen highlighted
0:24
I have a computer with Microsoft Windows
0:26
Vista Home Premium as the operating
0:28
system recently I typed in some forms I
0:30
downloaded from a website I saved them
0:32
thinking they were going for my
0:34
documents here they went to PDF
0:38
when I tried to all reopen them it said
0:40
I needed to install Adobe Acrobat which
0:42
I have to try to do many times without
0:43
success the Adobe site offers no help
0:45
how can I download the version of Adobe
0:47
Acrobat so my PDF files will open
0:50
there's a last question but I had no
0:52
idea what they were talking about so I'm
0:54
just going to skip that this video deals
0:56
with how you can manually install Adobe
0:59
Acrobat Reader on microcraft Microsoft
1:02
Wind Blows operating system all the way
1:04
back to Windows XP Service Pack 3. did
1:07
you know that Adobe Acrobat is still
1:09
compatible with
1:12
Microsoft Windows XP
1:15
and I'll show it to you later in this
1:18
video okay so basically I remotely
1:20
connected to their computer and fixed
1:23
their Adobe Acrobat software problem
1:26
they had Adobe Acrobat version
1:30
8.1.2 installed I use the word partially
1:34
it may have been fully installed but it
1:36
didn't work when you tried to actually
1:38
open up Adobe Acrobat on their Microsoft
1:42
Windows Vista computer
1:46
they would get prompted with an error
1:49
that asked them to reinstall it says if
1:52
if prompted to reinstalled it failed
1:56
yeah that that was basically the error
2:00
and yes they were using Microsoft
2:02
Windows Vista this is an older blog post
2:05
that I went back and I found that I did
2:07
not record a video or I may have
2:09
accidentally deleted the video so you
2:11
know
2:12
I went back to update this blog post and
2:15
put my chagrin new video so here's the
2:18
video okay so here is how I fixed that
2:21
problem so this video
2:25
is specifically if you need to install
2:28
Adobe Acrobat manually now Adobe Acrobat
2:31
has a tool that will automatically
2:34
detect your operating system this is in
2:37
case your operating system is not
2:39
detected and it is another Microsoft
2:42
Windows problem Microsoft Windows
2:43
operating system notoriously have
2:45
problems okay
2:47
so I went to Microsoft Windows Vista
2:51
operating system home the Home Premium
2:54
Edition the control panel then I
2:56
selected
2:57
programs and features
2:59
I removed Adobe Acrobat Reader from
3:02
programs and features successfully
3:05
now this is where I differentiate myself
3:08
from a lot of alleged
3:12
technicians on YouTube I think that
3:14
there are a lot of YouTube technology
3:16
shills that give out terrible advice
3:19
wrong answers they may even lie to you
3:22
because they're they're just in it for
3:24
the money they're not really there they
3:26
don't necessarily record videos to help
3:28
people they want your money
3:31
okay now I have noticed a pattern this
3:36
is what happens on Microsoft Windows
3:37
operating system a lot of times programs
3:39
do not clean up after themselves when
3:42
you remove them from device manager
3:44
excuse me from programs and features or
3:46
add remote programs depending on which
3:48
version of Microsoft Windows you're
3:49
using you'll notice if you browse to the
3:52
C drive or your hard drive
3:55
under you know where programs are
3:57
installed programs and features
3:59
there's files still there and I also
4:03
notice a pattern with a registry so you
4:06
do not have to use CCleaner CCleaner is
4:09
my preferred
4:11
Microsoft Windows computer optimization
4:14
tool I ran both a c cleaner cleaner and
4:19
registry scan so you want to use the
4:21
cleaner tool and the registry tool now
4:23
here's an additional tip I usually run
4:26
them three times each
4:28
I run the cleaner and the registry scan
4:30
with CCleaner the cleaner tool will
4:33
clean up any files that are not
4:36
necessary you know
4:38
temporary files cache files
4:41
you know and when programs don't clean
4:44
up after themselves they will remove
4:46
those files for you and also the
4:48
registry it will scan the registry and
4:51
look for registry entries that are not
4:54
necessary
4:55
caveat amp tour
4:57
you
4:58
you would want to back up your registry
5:00
and CCleaner does have a tool that you
5:03
can back up your Windows registry all
5:05
right so I just became accustomed to
5:09
always whenever
5:12
troubleshooting our Microsoft Windows
5:14
anytime I had to troubleshoot software
5:17
that didn't work I had to reinstall it
5:19
just went ahead and used CCleaner
5:20
because sometimes
5:23
just that's what happened and it's not
5:25
just Microsoft Windows Apple Macintosh
5:28
and even Linux when you remove programs
5:30
on even Linux you go back and and look
5:34
where they were located and sure enough
5:36
some of the files are still there and
5:38
it's just very perplexing okay but on
5:40
Microsoft Windows that can be a problem
5:42
and and then the registry too can be a
5:45
problem and here's why
5:47
you'll try to reinstall the software you
5:50
might try it 10 times and it will not
5:52
reinstall because the files are still
5:55
there
5:57
and then also there's registry entries
5:59
which can cause a problem okay let's
6:01
move along from this just some
6:03
additional technical you know statistics
6:05
that you may not care but this computer
6:07
actually had over five gigabytes of
6:09
unnecessary files which would be in temp
6:11
files cash blah blah blah
6:14
what else over 1500 registry items that
6:17
were cluttering up the computer and
6:19
here's another additional tip Microsoft
6:21
Windows and Apple Macintosh
6:23
can
6:27
become slow over time they they act slow
6:32
CCleaner not always but a lot of times
6:35
when I when I run a cleaner and a
6:38
registry scan
6:40
it improves the speed yes it does it can
6:43
because cluttered up files and cluttered
6:45
up registry entries can cause a problem
6:47
same thing with Apple Macintosh
6:48
cluttered up files can actually cause
6:50
the operating system to slow down that
6:54
what I mean by that is when you open up
6:56
programs they just take longer and
6:58
longer they're less argic and blah blah
7:00
blah blah and I know for a fact because
7:01
I've used CCleaner countless times on
7:04
both Microsoft Windows and Apple
7:06
Macintosh operating systems however you
7:08
do not need to use CCleaner if you don't
7:10
want to there's other tools out there
7:12
that you can find
7:15
that is part of my routine maintenance
7:17
okay it's just a optimization tool okay
7:20
now Microsoft Windows Vista is not
7:24
supported by Adobe any longer which
7:27
the reason why I'm laughing is because
7:30
Microsoft Windows XP is still supported
7:33
and I'm going to prove it to you however
7:35
I had to manually download Microsoft
7:37
Windows XP service packs to reset up
7:40
from the official Adobe Acrobat Reader
7:42
download and we can open that up and
7:44
I'll let it download in the background
7:45
there
7:46
and then
7:52
you may be wondering why in the world
7:54
would I download Microsoft Windows XP
7:56
Service reset it from the official Adobe
7:57
Acrobat Reader download webpage well
7:59
because Microsoft Windows Vista is no
8:02
longer supported
8:05
sometimes well especially when you're
8:07
Information Technology professional you
8:09
have to think outside of a box I just
8:11
thought I would try it I was actually
8:13
able to install Microsoft Windows XP
8:15
Service Pack 3 version of Adobe Acrobat
8:18
Reader onto Microsoft Windows Vista
8:19
believe it or not yes I did that's how I
8:21
fixed this problem now I'm going to show
8:24
you in a few moments I'll demonstrate on
8:27
what you have to do but basically what I
8:28
did is I visited this webpage that I'm
8:30
going to show it to you
8:33
on their computer they were using
8:35
Microsoft Windows Vista Home operating
8:37
system
8:37
and then it gave me the option to choose
8:40
what operating system was installed now
8:42
this is not the tool from Adobe that
8:45
automatically detects your operating
8:46
system now this is a a lot of people may
8:49
not know about this webpage this is a
8:51
way where you can manually choose the
8:54
exact version of Adobe Acrobat Reader
8:56
that you want to download in case you
8:58
are having problems installing it or
9:00
maybe you just want to install it that
9:01
way and you know you know just I don't
9:04
know why but oh you know what anyways
9:07
let's digress away from that yeah some
9:09
people like to just install software
9:12
manually the old school way with
9:14
Microsoft Windows 95 I mean hey that's
9:19
how long I have that's how far back I go
9:21
actually I use Microsoft Windows for
9:23
work groups 3.11 that's off our back and
9:28
here's a quick story back in the day
9:30
with Microsoft Windows 3.11 for Windows
9:33
for work groups and Microsoft Windows 95
9:36
you had to install them from disks no no
9:38
no no no not not compact disk read only
9:41
memory not CD-ROMs not not digital video
9:45
disk I also known as DVDs no they were
9:48
floppy disks three and a half inch
9:50
floppy disks and I think I could be
9:53
wrong but I think Microsoft Windows 95
9:54
was like 13 discs the number 13. and
9:57
then I think windows for work groups was
10:00
six discs anyways I digress back to this
10:04
more current contemporary video which in
10:08
20 years might be really archaic and
10:12
nobody would understand what I'm talking
10:14
about because you know anyways I'm just
10:16
you know okay let's move along
10:19
now again that now that page will detect
10:22
your operating system well you know what
10:24
I think that page does detect most times
10:27
that download page would automatically
10:28
that's right you know why because I'm
10:29
using Linux okay hey I'm not perfect
10:33
I'm using Linux and that's why it
10:34
doesn't detect my operating system okay
10:36
so okay let's move along from that but
10:39
no this video is showing you how to
10:41
manually install
10:43
Adobe accurate reader I included the
10:45
link above to the other okay let's now
10:48
demonstrate I think it may be better
10:51
okay so well I'll just quickly read over
10:53
not verbatim okay so the webpage that I
10:57
provided is the other version of web
10:59
page link
11:01
oh no I'm confused that's I am correct I
11:04
was correct to begin with this webpage
11:06
get that adobe.com reader slash other
11:09
versions does not automatically detect
11:11
your operating system that's correct
11:12
it's a it's how you manually install it
11:15
okay and I'm not going to include the
11:18
link to the tool that are that you can
11:20
automatically it will automatically
11:22
detect your option you can find it you
11:24
know it's quick internet search that's
11:25
not the point of this video
11:29
now you're gonna have to choose which
11:31
operating system you are using so under
11:34
step one you would choose whichever
11:36
operating system that you want to
11:38
install Adobe Acrobat Reader for from
11:39
the drop down list
11:43
now since Microsoft Windows Vista was
11:45
not it is not supported and was not
11:48
supported at that time I chose Windows
11:50
XP Service Pack three and then now step
11:52
two you're going to choose your language
11:54
so you want to choose the language that
11:56
you want the software written in so
11:59
English you know Japanese Chinese you
12:02
want to make sure you get the correct
12:04
language if you choose a wrong language
12:06
you don't speak that language when you
12:08
install a software it will be in Greek
12:09
or it'll be in Spanish or it'll be in
12:11
Russian and you'll have no clue how to
12:13
use the software and then you're going
12:14
to blame me I mean when in doubt blame
12:17
the you know computer support technician
12:20
I mean finally under step three you will
12:22
select the version of Adobe Acrobat
12:24
Reader that you want to install
12:26
now I was only given one choice in this
12:28
scenario and that was Adobe Acrobat
12:31
Reader
12:34
11.0.08 for Windows
12:36
and then you can also uncheck the
12:38
optional offer then you're going to
12:41
click on the download now button on the
12:43
right hand side
12:45
and then that will prompt you to
12:47
download Adobe Acrobat Reader version
12:49
11.0.08 installer so it's just an
12:51
installer it's a smaller file you
12:53
download to your computer go find it
12:55
double click it'll open up and then it
12:58
will download the full version of Adobe
13:01
Acrobat Reader in this scenario version
13:04
11.0.0.8 then once it finishes
13:06
downloading the full version
13:08
you will double click the executable to
13:10
begin the program installation all right
13:14
but it is it has to download and install
13:17
it for a version that's what the the
13:19
installer is for
13:21
I have no idea why that is that you you
13:24
download a small piece and then the
13:26
smaller piece downloads the full version
13:28
and that's just how they roll
13:30
and I was able to successfully believe
13:33
it or not install Adobe Acrobat Reader
13:35
version
13:36
11.0.0.8 specifically for Windows XP
13:41
Service Pack 3 on a Microsoft Windows
13:44
Vista Home Edition
13:46
yes I was because I tested it
13:49
and it worked sometimes you have to
13:51
think outside of a box
13:53
okay now I'm going to demonstrate
13:56
right here
13:58
get out of adobe.com reader slash other
14:01
versions uniform resource locator on
14:02
screen highlighted type that into your
14:04
web browser if you misspell it's not my
14:06
problem I mean
14:08
okay let's move now just choose your
14:11
operating system bam oh oh I still have
14:15
Windows Vista oh it's not supported oh
14:18
oh let's try Windows XP Service Pack 3.
14:21
boom oh it's still supported did I just
14:25
you can't you see that micro crap
14:27
Microsoft wind blows
14:29
XP Service Pack 3 and microcrip
14:31
Microsoft Wind Blows XP Service Pack 2
14:33
are both still supported but Microsoft
14:36
win win blows Vista is not I thought
14:39
that was funny I have no idea okay being
14:41
more serious Microsoft Windows 11 is
14:43
still supported windows 10.
14:46
the three versions of Windows Server are
14:48
three of them Microsoft Windows 8
14:50
Microsoft Windows 7.
14:52
um
14:53
the Macintosh operating system 10.5 all
14:57
the way back to my Mac and crap excuse
15:00
me mac and Tash operating system
15:03
10.6.4 are still support and even Google
15:06
Android is supported
15:08
you know what I'm saying then once you
15:10
choose your operating system that you're
15:11
using that you want then you're going to
15:13
choose the correct language I do not
15:15
speak Chinese I do not speak Farsi I do
15:17
not speak Danish or Czechoslovakian or
15:21
Dutch or but I do speak English
15:23
and I'm going to choose that obviously I
15:26
speak English then you're going to
15:27
choose you're only given one option
15:28
reader
15:30
11.0.0. English for Windows bam then you
15:32
click on the blue download Adobe Reader
15:34
button bam it downloads your computer
15:36
that's just the installer file it's not
15:38
as big double click that open it up
15:41
allow it to download the full version
15:43
allow it to install when it's done
15:45
completed it should tell you there there
15:48
may or may not be a progress indicator
15:50
progress indicator and then boom you're
15:52
done call it a day let me show you
15:55
another quick demonstration now they
15:57
support Windows 11 so you would just
15:58
choose Windows 11. choose your language
16:01
whatever whatever language you speak
16:03
Catalan bask
16:04
you know whatever
16:07
Hebrew I don't know you know Slovakian
16:09
Slovenian Turkish I don't speak you know
16:12
I speak some Spanish meow meow excuse me
16:15
Mia espanol is
16:19
oops
16:22
I don't know if YouTube has a
16:25
interpreter I'm not sure if they they're
16:28
they're
16:29
robot or their algorithm detected that I
16:32
would just got kind of nasty in Spanish
16:33
I basically called myself a what stupid
16:37
in Spanish myself though I didn't call
16:40
you stupid I called myself Spanish in
16:42
Spanish okay so I'm going to choose
16:44
English and then boom and then you're
16:47
given two options you're given reader DC
16:51
which is okay there is a little bit
16:53
computer back in the day it was just
16:55
Acrobat Reader and that was it now it's
16:58
known as reader DC I don't [ __ ] know
17:00
why these computer companies like to
17:03
change names I think that's a big
17:04
mistake people become accustomed to oh
17:10
Adobe Acrobat Reader I installed that
17:12
back in 2010 oh it's 2020. oh oh oh oh
17:17
oh reader DC well I don't know what that
17:19
is I need Adobe operator oh my God oh my
17:21
God Adobe they retired a reader oh my
17:24
God what am I gonna do I can't read this
17:26
though the portable document format well
17:28
no no it's the same thing I I just I
17:31
don't like it when companies rename her
17:33
I don't know why they do it to screw
17:36
with people or marketing I don't know
17:38
but reader DC is known as Adobe Acrobat
17:42
Reader and 2002
17:47
23.003.20 269. now English Windows
17:50
64-bit and then they have another
17:52
version same number
17:55
four Windows I'm assuming that the first
17:57
version English for Windows is 32-bit
18:00
yes there are I know it could be amazing
18:02
there are some computers around some
18:06
Hardware some computer hardware that is
18:08
32-bit if you have that Hardware choose
18:11
here here it went in doubt choose
18:13
Windows 64-bit chances are most
18:16
computers nowadays even if they're 10
18:19
years old most likely will be windows 64
18:21
but there could be some computers out in
18:24
the wild so to speak there 32-bit if
18:26
Windows 64-bit does not work this is a
18:28
general tip for you know computers in
18:30
general when in doubt download 64-bit
18:33
version if that doesn't work try the the
18:35
32-bit or the version like in this case
18:38
it is not labeled I'm I'm pretty sure
18:40
that that's what this other version is
18:42
it's just a 32-bit version I don't know
18:44
why they didn't specify it you know what
18:46
I'm saying that's that's anyways if I
18:48
start complaining about you know
18:50
everything I I notice on websites I
18:52
could be here all night okay so then you
18:54
just click on the blue download Acrobat
18:55
Reader it's a small installer
18:59
program double click it find it double
19:02
click it allow it to download the full
19:05
version of Adobe Acrobat Reader and then
19:08
when it once it's done downloading it'll
19:10
start installing it there may be a
19:13
progress indicator and then eventually
19:15
it should say complete or successful or
19:18
whatever
19:19
and then that is it
19:22
so this video pertain to how you can
19:26
download Adobe Acrobat Reader for
19:29
Microsoft Windows it's known as DC
19:32
nowadays so look for Adobe DC or you
19:35
know what I'm saying
19:37
anything further with this that is how I
19:39
fix our issue you know what I'm saying I
19:42
actually had to download Microsoft
19:44
Windows Service Pack 3 Adobe Acrobat
19:46
Reader 11.0.0.8
19:49
on Windows Vista Home Premium it
19:52
actually worked
19:54
now
19:55
I'm done with that portion of the video
19:57
this is some additional tips now you
19:59
notice uh it's a lengthy video that's
20:01
because it originally I had to perform
20:03
some troubleshooting I was like why
20:05
didn't this software work why am I
20:07
getting this error oh why can't I just
20:10
download Adobe Acrobat Reader for
20:12
Windows Vista and then reinstall it oh
20:14
well number one they don't you know they
20:16
don't
20:17
[Music]
20:18
at that time and and obviously still now
20:21
they don't support Windows Vista and
20:23
they're this customer claimed that there
20:25
was no help they couldn't find anything
20:27
from Adobe telling them that we do not
20:30
loan we no longer support Microsoft
20:33
Windows Vista
20:35
and then they wouldn't chances are 99
20:38
I'm not being condescending I'm just why
20:40
would they know I don't expect an
20:41
average consumer to know oh well you can
20:44
just try a different version for a
20:45
different operating system and it will
20:47
work no now I have tested that out I
20:49
have to it doesn't always work but I
20:51
have noticed that sometimes
20:53
you know you can you could use the same
20:56
theory on Microsoft excuse me on Apple
20:59
Mac and crap also known as Apple
21:01
Macintosh operating system you could
21:03
always choose a different version that
21:05
supports a different version of mac and
21:07
see if it'll work on a newer version but
21:09
there's no guarantees in that you know
21:11
what I'm saying
21:13
okay so let's just quickly now
21:17
I think probably I tried to perform a
21:20
system restore and it did not work if
21:22
you do not know what Microsoft Windows
21:24
system restore is it is a utility
21:27
I usually do not brag about Microsoft
21:30
and I'm not really bragging but I
21:32
actually am giving them some credit
21:34
which is very rare
21:35
or system restore when it works is a
21:38
good tool
21:39
basically what system restore is it will
21:42
restore Microsoft Windows back to a
21:45
restore point it's an image
21:48
for your problem occurred
21:50
now number one system restore must be
21:53
enabled number two
21:57
you must have a restore point
22:00
you should if it's enabled if it's been
22:02
enabled for a while you should have at
22:03
least one restore point however
22:05
if you only have one restore point this
22:08
problem may have occurred before that or
22:11
excuse me since since then well so my
22:15
point is that what you want to do when
22:16
you use Microsoft Windows system restore
22:18
you want to choose a restore point back
22:22
before you had this problem if you
22:25
choose a restore point that was since
22:28
the problem occurred it's good you're
22:30
wasting time so that that's basically
22:32
what system restore is for it's it can
22:35
be an excellent tool
22:36
if you have certain problems like maybe
22:40
you installed a Microsoft Wind Blows
22:42
update that that cause problems it it
22:45
will restore Windows back to before you
22:48
install that update so in this scenario
22:50
it would have restored Windows Back to
22:52
Before Adobe Acrobat Reader quit working
22:55
and they received that error all right
22:58
I'm pretty sure I would have checked and
23:00
there either was no restore point or
23:02
there was not one before that would have
23:04
you know would have reverted Adobe
23:07
Acrobat Reader back to when it worked
23:09
or you know it failed yes and that let
23:13
me give you another you know you may not
23:15
like what I don't care about you if you
23:18
think I'm negative this is the real
23:20
world Microsoft operating system has
23:22
major problems they always have all the
23:24
way back to Windows 95 I would say
23:25
windows 11 was pretty basic I well
23:28
excuse me windows windows for work
23:30
groups Windows 3.1 and 3.11 for work
23:34
group it was really basic yeah did it
23:37
yeah of course it may have had problems
23:39
but there was a huge difference but
23:41
here's another story there was a huge
23:42
difference between Microsoft Windows 95
23:44
and Microsoft Windows 3.1 and one 3.11
23:49
windows for work groups it was an
23:51
entirely different monster I would say
23:54
that Microsoft Windows 95 was closer to
23:56
the operating systems that you use now
23:58
obviously they're not the same they
24:00
weren't nearly as bloated but a lot
24:03
similar when it comes to programming you
24:05
know what I'm saying and they did have
24:07
updates you would have you would install
24:08
updates on one there's no 95 but back
24:11
then you had to anyways I don't want to
24:12
digress further that was a quick quick
24:14
story about my experiences with Windows
24:17
95 but not much has changed Windows 11
24:20
has problems Windows 10 has probably in
24:22
Microsoft note historically notoriously
24:25
has problems with the Windows updates
24:27
that will cause major problems okay
24:31
thank you
24:33
so the I'm gonna I provided the
24:36
instruction I'm not gonna go over all
24:37
them so here's another way you could
24:40
have fixed the problem number one
24:43
system restore was enabled number two
24:45
you had a restore point oh okay go ahead
24:47
and try system restore and
24:51
revert it back to the to before you had
24:54
this problem but yes sometimes Microsoft
24:57
Windows system restore does not work
25:01
you'll choose a restore point you'll
25:03
click next and it'll it'll blow up it'll
25:06
it won't work it will have an error or
25:09
it'll yeah you know what I'm saying that
25:11
I am not going to include any of that
25:12
troubleshoot this video is already way
25:14
too long I need to run
25:17
now here's a quick ad a quick I have
25:20
partnered with a company called just

third-part company known as just answer
25:58

26:01
you with your computer problems all
26:03
right now back to this video
26:05
here are the Microsoft Windows 7 system
26:07
restore instructions on screen I'm not
26:09
going to go over them Microsoft Windows
26:11
8 system restore instructions they're
26:13
shorter I am not going to go over them
26:15
Microsoft Windows 10 system restore
26:17
instructions on screen you can always
26:19
pause the video and follow the
26:21
instructions on screen for any of these
26:23
three versions of Microsoft Windows 11
26:25
the
26:27
unit user interface is different and
26:31
actually the instructions are not the
26:32
same they're similar to Windows 10 you
26:35
might be able to kick off a system
26:37
restore
26:38
on Microsoft Windows 11 following these
26:41
windows 10 instructions but it's it's
26:43
not the exact same you know what I'm
26:45
saying but you just in Windows 11 you
26:48
could use the search tool
26:51
and then
26:54
and then just type in system restore in
26:56
it and it should show up and then select
26:58
system restore and then you might be
27:00
able to follow these instructions you
27:01
know what I'm saying
27:04
wow so that is my video concerning
