Another information technology problem in the world order. This time I had to try to verify a Brave Publishers Brave rewards wallet again. A Brave web browser update corrupted this verified Brave wallet.
This is the second time in the past year or so, that this has occurred. If you are new to Brave Publishers Brave rewards or are needing to verify your Brave rewards wallet again, you can follow these instructions below. First you will want to click on the Brave Rewards triangle icon to the right of the Brave web browser address bar at the top.
A Brave Rewards window will pop up. At the top you will see Verify Wallet with an arrow icon. You will want to click on that text and icon.
Another Brave Rewards tab will then open up. Also, you can type this address below into the address bar in Brave web browser.
brave://rewards/#verify
You will see a Verifying is optional screen. This is not a normal statement to me by the way. If you do not verify your Brave wallet, you will not gain access to your Brave balance.
You will not be able to trade, withdraw your balance, etcetera. What would be the actual point to look at a crypto currency wallet that you do not have access to? When you click on the Continue button, you will be taken to a page where you can choose between Gemini or Uphold.
You will need access to either a Gemini or Uphold custodial account, so that you can actually access your Brave Rewards. You will receive free Basic Access Tokens by allowing advertisements to display in Brave web browser. When you choose either Gemini or Uphold wallet service, you will be taken to their login page.
Once logging into either Gemini or Uphold, you will need to authorize the Brave Rewards application. You must have either a Gemini or Uphold account. Once you login to your wallet service account, you will hopefully be able to verify your Brave rewards wallet.
You may receive this following error message.
Error: Device limit reached
Your wallet cannot be verified because you have reached the maximum verified device limit.
If you receive the above error message, it means you have reached a Brave Rewards device limit quota. You are only allowed a total of four devices linked to for Brave Rewards. This quota includes multiple web browsers, multiple devices, reinstalling Brave web browser, etcetera.
When you reach this device limit quota, you will most likely need to contact Brave Publishers support and request they remove one of your devices so that you can verify or verify again your Brave wallet. Brave Publishers Brave rewards program has been nothing short of a disaster for me. Constant problems with devices verified, receiving free Basic Access Token into my Uphold account, not being able to verify again my Brave Rewards wallet, etcetera.
I actually received that error message above after contacting Brave Publishers support because I reached the four device limit quota. I received the following email message from Brave Publishers.

Actually, I still could not verify my Brave Wallet after receiving this email from Brave Publishers support. Brave Publishers support either lied to me, because I know I gave them my correct Uphold number, or once again, their Brave wallet verification system is broken. I have now decided to disable advertisements in Brave web browser until I find a work around. I have not received any compensation from Brave Publishers for a few months now.
I did receive $1.18 from Brave Publishers a couple of weeks ago out of nowhere. However, they owe me around forty Basic Access Tokens for allowing advertisements to display in Brave web browser. I am not going to wait around for Brave Publishers to remove the linking limit because who knows if that will ever transpire.
