ONN Wireless Mouse

I recently purchased an ONN wireless mouse from Walmart. I think paid $8.84 not including tax. ONN is a Chinese brand that I think is exclusive from Walmart. This ONN wireless mouse comes with a radio receiver and two triple AAA batteries.

There is a small back cover, where the batteries are installed. Also, there is small compartment in order to store the nano receiver, which is just basically an antenna. This ONN wireless mouse includes:

  • 2.4 GHz Wireless Band
  • 1600 Dots Per Inch Optical Sensor
  • Nano Receiver
  • On and Off Switch
  • Left or Right Hand Usage
  • Personal Computer and Apple Macintosh Compatible
  • Forward and Reverse Buttons
  • Left and Right Mouse Buttons
  • Scroll Wheel

This mouse requires two triple AAA batteries that were actually included. A nice touch indeed. Also, the packaging claims that you need a universal serial bus adapter for use on an Apple Macintosh computer.

I connected the universal serial bus nano receiver antenna to a computer with MX Linux 19.1 operating system installed. I turned the mouse on using the on and off switch. The mouse immediately worked.

I did not have to use the connect button. So far after a few months of use, I have not had one problem with this mouse. The mouse has two other buttons on the left hand side.

Forward and reverse scroll buttons. I have never ever used forward and reverse scroll buttons on any mouse I have ever obtained. The mouse comes with the standard left and right buttons and a middle scroll wheel.

I like the feel of the middle scroll wheel. Overall, I actually like the feel and weight of this mouse. It feels more solid then the more expensive black web mouse that Walmart also sells.

The packaging included a small Federal Communications Commission insert but no instructions. I like the size of this mouse. Whenever I shop for mice, I cannot help but notice most of them are travel size mice.

I know you can purchase larger wireless mice. However, why do not manufacturers create wireless size mice the size of standard desktop wired mice? Oh well, beggars cannot be choosy perhaps.

This mice feels a little bit larger then some other travel sized mice. It works well on a Hewlett Packard Spectre X360 computer with MX Linux version 19.1 installed and that is all that matters.
