MSI MS-6728 Ver 2 – Does Your Motherboard Not Detect Your SATA HD?

You have recently replaced your computer system's motherboard and now that you try to boot up that computer, it cannot detect your serial AT attachment hard drive now. You have been trying to boot off of a Microsoft Windows eXPerience operating system compact disc, but you receive an error stipulating that it cannot detect the hard drive installed in that computer. Alsoc, you have tried to disconnect all cables, cords and installed them again, however still that computer system will not detect the serial AT attachment hard drive.

You will want to attempt to access that computer system's basic input output system to make sure that your computer system is detecting your serial AT attachment hard drive. You can then power on that computer and immediately keep tapping the Tab key, DEL, delete key, or whichever key is necessary to access that basic input output system. You can attempt this configuration in that basic input output system. You will want to browse in that basic input output menu system, then choose Integrated Peripherals.

You will need to set those settings in that menu option to:

Chip ATA Operating Mode: Native Mode
ATA Config: PATA + SATA
SATA Keep enabled: yes
PATA Keep enabled: yes
PATA channel selection: both
Set SATA as RAID: No
