Why does your computer reboot when it tries to start Microsoft Windows eXPerience professional? You will want to power on that computer and immediately start pressing an F8 function key until an advanced boot options menu opens. Then you can choose Last known good configuration from that menu.

Hopefully, Microsoft Windows eXPerience operating system will boot normally. If it does not, then you can go back into that advanced boot options menu and choose Safe mode with networking. Now you will want to open up a command prompt window and type in chkdsk /f /r without quotations.

Then type Y at a volume is in use message. A chkdsk scan will become scheduled. You will want to reboot that computer and a chkdsk scan should begin.

If you do not know how to open up a command prompt window then you will want to click on the Microsoft Windows operating system Start menu button, then type in cmd without quotations in a Run box. Now you need to press the enter key and a black command prompt window should open. You will need to start a chkdsk scan, it should not take more then a minute in order to kick it off and then reboot your computer.

Also, you will want to make certain you blow out any dust from your power supply fan and case fan if your computer freezes. If you have a Microsoft Windows eXPerience installation disc, you can run a chkdsk scan with a recovery console that you can boot to off of that recovery disc. These instructions were written specifically for Microsoft Windows eXPerience operating system, but can be certainly used as a basis point for other Microsoft operating systems.
